Pomeranian Energy Gala

2018 marked the centenary of Poland regaining independence. The electrical and energy community of Pomerania joined the celebrations by organising the Pomeranian Energy Gala under the motto “Energy Professionals for Independence”.

The industry's largest centenary celebration took place on 19 October 2018 at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk. The venue adds symbolism: the building was once the power station that began the electrification of Gdańsk and is now a centre of Pomeranian culture.

As a partner of the event, EM27studio designed the entire visual identity and led its communication. We created every material needed at each stage of promotion, designed and built the website with a registration module, produced digital materials for social media, and designed and printed stationery and outdoor advertising.

The main visual motif is a red frame that highlights and honours the people, places and events that shaped Poland's rebuilding after the Second World War. The background colours reflect the solemn character of the gala and the official national colours.

We also initiated an accompanying exhibition presenting the most outstanding Polish energy engineers, whose work helped rebuild and modernise the country. We supervised and produced the entire exhibition.

A centrepiece was the commemorative publication: over 100 pages of popular science articles on the key events and achievements in the electrification of Pomerania and Poland, biographies of engineers who contributed to rebuilding the Republic, and information about the event.
